Non-FictionBOOKS BY SANDRA GLAHN

You will find a common thread running through my non-fiction works. Each in some way draws on my thinking about what the Bible says about sex and the ramifications for marriage and reproduction. In a world in which Fifty Shades of Gray, human trafficking, and rape culture influence our thinking, we need course corrections that remind us of God’s purpose for sex: “knowing.” As early as Genesis we read, “Adam knew his wife.” Sex should make us more, not less, human. Thus, these works explore how can we bring a more life-giving perspective to marital intimacy, infertility, and contraception. I was committed to writing as a male/female team on these male/female issues. I was also committed to writing with someone other than my husband, as I did not want to make the assumption that my own experience was universal. So I coauthored with the late Dr. William Cutrer, who served as an ob-gyn (with a master’s degree in biblical studies) for more than 25 years, and who in his final years served as a seminary professor and medical director in Kentucky.

In addition to books I have authored or coauthored, I have contributed to books on a wide range of topics, including the following works: Genetic Engineering: A Christian Response (Kregel); The Making of a Mentor (Authentic), A Woman’s Joy: Loving the Life God Gave You (IFL), Life Savors for Women (Tyndale), Simple Little Words (Cook), Daily Seeds from Women Who Walk in Faith (Moody); A Faith and Culture Devotional (Zondervan); God Encounters (Howard/Simon & Schuster); and Tending the Soul: 90 Days of Spiritual Nourishment (Moody).
